Diabetes is a life-changing, chronic condition. It requires an understanding of how foods, activity and medications affect blood sugar levels. To feel well and stay well, people with diabetes must learn to balance eating, exercise and diabetes medications so that blood sugar stays within a healthy range.
To assist those with diabetes in this complex balancing act, DHAI has developed several programs that focus on teaching the skills necessary to control blood sugar and to slow or prevent the complications of diabetes.
